Add an oil cooler. Engine oil gets too hot without oil cooler, especially when climbing hills fully loaded in the mountains. An oil temperature gauge is also very useful. Slow down when it gets too hot. Here is my setup: https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...ys-cold-95865/ (scroll down for the working solution).

You barely add more than a teaspoon. Great metal on metal protection.

A good tool selection, maxtrax or similar, shovel, good heavy duty ratchet straps, tire plug kit, inflation pump(electrical or bicycle pump), chain. And as Gallant mentioned, let someone know what you are up to, outside of your group and notify them on the regular. Also forgot, a good jack and a good breaker bar and socket for wheel removal.

Spare fuel tank jerry can mounted on spare wheel
Stick a spare serpentine belt on your underhood tray below windshield wipers
Hose tape in case of split hose
Mosquito netting and tape in case you want to leave your windows down overnight
Hide a spare key outside the vehicle
First aid kit + survival blanket and small fishing kit
Road flares
Water
VHF/UHF radio
Add some TurboMaxx to your diffs, transfer case, and engine oil (but NOT into transmission!)
Your heat shield over your Crank Position Sensor is another good idea. Maybe bypass your throttle body heater and go with the inline thermostat mod, plus PCV308 mod.

Probably helps if you have top hat piston sleeves or all-metal head gaskets and ARP studs/nuts.

Larger oil filter. Option B. LED interior lights.

Something I forgot,if you have locking wheel nuts either on tire or on the spare pull them and replace them with standard ones. I do the one on my spare before every trip,I have never had an issue but if you drop that thing somewhere inaccessible it can be a real problem. The locking nut breaker most tow trucks carry are way too small.

The standard bulbs in mine, including the dome lights and the license plate bulbs, burned so hot I'm suprised the truck didn't burst into flames(pitty)lol
Leds don't get hot.
They also make a big difference in D2 dome lights.
You can buy bulb housings with leds only on one side too, and rotate it in the fixture to aim the light.
I found the rear dome light lit up the cargo area better by doing that.
Or, leds covering all sides of the housing=day time bright(no thanks).
