Default New Bumper

I have just received my new front bumper, it is only zipped on to get an idea how it was going to look. I will have to have the mounts fabbed up so I can bolt it up. It has a winch mount and a place for fog/driving lights, I really love how it is going to look.

I took the pic at a angle so it looks lower than it is.

Also, does anyone know where I can get a new front crossmember, the one at the very front below/behind the bumper. Mine is bent, badly.

Where did you find that bumper? Will it fit any closer to the headlights? Looks strong. If you are a welder you could fab up a mount in a day for that.

It is a Jeep JK Bumper from Rugged Ridge. I got it from a scratch and dent dealer for $208. The rear one is not here yet, though it is a TJ Rock Crusher Bumper, $124. I have a guy in my club that is a wielder, so making the mounts should be no problem. It can get closer to the lights, but with the winch installed I would have to cut into the grille, but The front crush cans need to be removed so it might get a little closer without messing with the grille.

Thats a sweet deal for about $332 on steel bumpers. I bet you can make them fit well. Just relocate your windshield washer bottle or paint it black till you get to it... I relocated mine where the air box is. Made my own cold air in take in place of the box. Post some more pictures when you get it finally installed.

You're best bet is to sell your Rover and buy a jeep. That way you can still look "cool" and not get your truck dirty.

Why would I care if I get my truck dirty? I bought the bumper so I can mount my winch and I did not care to spend $600.00-$1200.00 on one. So I can modify an existing bumper to fit and still do the job, guess you cannot. If like over paying for crap, go ahead, but if you really want to get your truck dirty, come down to GA and I will take you a few places. Unlike some, I do wheel my rig, and I wheel it hard. Devildog, you a Marine?
