Default new crank and ring bearings -- need advice

I'm losing the mental war with my engine shop. Up until now, I got to be irritated with them and over the length of time they were taking. Cleverly, they just shifted it back on me for the final operation.

My crank was turned, so sometime this morning they are going to give me the info for new bearings because their normal supplier either couldn't or wouldn't find them.

Can one of you engine guys give me a suggestion for where to order crank and ring bearings to be overnighted to me and tell me what precise info I need to get from the engine shop to ensure that I get the right thickness? This is for a 4.6.

Also, am I right that our cams do not have bearings?

Thanks!

you need to know how much the turned/cut the rods and mains so that you can order the correct bearings.

they should tell you something like the rods and main are hypothetically .10 under, which would mean you would order +.10 sized bearings.
std over sized bearings are is .05, .10, .20, .30. thats if they cut it, it possibly they only had to polish it, unlikely but possible.

Your engine has camshaft bearing at least i hope it does. AB sell finished camshaft bearing if i remember correctly. witch would save you from have the machine shop line bore the new ones.

OK thanks for that. I got a new Crower cam and specifically asked about cam bearings and the guy in I spoke to said "you have an overhead cam so you don't need bearings." Sounded odd to me but he wasn't the main guy I usually deal with.

Is there a particularly good site to order all types of bearings from? I definitely do not want to ebay them.

Lucky8 even called to be sure I got everything, which I did.
