The New Defender?

Yep, a product of photoshop for sure. They used Range Rover (or the new LR4) lights and an LR grill. Would be awesome, but i've read some reports that the Defender may be in hot water.

And by hot water, I mean ruined. With Gerry McGovern in the design booth at Land Rover i feel its all going in the wrong direction. You can throw LR roots right out the window. Not to mention, the new 2013 regulations will really hurt LR because now they have to follow a bunch of silly rules in order to be "legal". They are going to have to focus meeting those regulations rather than focusing on whats really important to people like us... its ROOTS of go-anywhere, adventure, ect.

I left out that the Defender may be phased out because of the 2013 regulations. Supossedly LR is worked on its replacement, but i'll let you take what you want from this story:

I agree 100%, but 2013 looms and LR has alot of work to make their fleet meet the regulations, I think a US defender is at the back of the planning book. I would do anything for a new defender, and I know there is a market here in the US, it may not be a camry size market, but a market none the less.
