Default New HighCountry rear bumper and One Motion got installed today!

Well, I finally got around to installing my new rear bumper and the additional ONe Motion tire and jerry can carrier. All in all the fit was good but the printed instructions could be better. I would have liked to have seen more pictures int he instructions as well as some better explanations. I only had to ream out a few holes with the 1/2 bit and actually installed the bumper by myself with no extra help.

The One Motion is an additional part from High Country. You remove your current factory tire carrier and install the new one which pivots off of the corner of the new bumper and using a Heim joint the unit is linked to the rear door. You can carry 2 Jerry cans and a High Lift Jack on this tire rack or 3 Jerry cans.

Overall, good fit, nice welds and paint and the prices were good as some items were on sale when I purchased them from High Country.

Now you need to dump those wimpy looking Michelin and get some real tires.
Looks real good.

! Those are my street tires for my monthly trips between Houston, TX and Atlanta, GA. I got 5 LR rims with the Michelins for $250 on Ebay. My off-road tires and rims are back in the garage in Houston!

Looks good! I have one on the way, as well. Did you have to do any trimming on the rear quarter panel?

You mentioned that the instructions were somewhat lacking... any tips that you can pass along that may make my installation easier?

Default Looking for High Country

Guys, does anyone have a phone number or web page for high country? Are they still in business? I bought a rear bumper from them for my DII, had them set it up to take their tire carrier but waited on ordering that part...now I cant seem to find them. the bumper has been great...

Thanks in advance!

Steve O.
