No codes and no amigos. I'm just curious as to the possibility that doing that work will somehow lead to it. The lines and MC are getting replaced regardless, but I'm mentally preparing myself for the possibility, if it exists.
No codes and no lights is so nice. Almost dictates what you want to mess with. Almost.

Excellent point but I don't think you should have reason to suspect trouble. About 3 months ago I put my 04 up on blocks for two days and replaced all the brake lines with extended lines and then rebuilt all four calipers, replaced the rotors & pads and replaced the fluid with new.
I had the whole system open for almost 48 hours during the process (painting & rebuilding the calipers took longer than anticipated) but I had no visit from the Tres Amigos. Don't see why you would either from normal"ish" maintenance.
I recommend the proper flare wrenches and a pair of needle nose vice grips if you also plan on doing the two rubber lines in the front, drivers side wheel well that feed the back two brake lines. I'm not trying to scare you off but it was an exercise in patience, creative cursing and willpower to not chug cheap bourbon right from the bottle. Watch the "do it yourself" video that A/B has on their site and you will know all you need to know. At least for the brake lines.

AB kit is quality - as far as I know, it's the first SS brake lines I've seen. I have 4 installed so far. The 2 that go from the modulator to the rear hard pipes are a real pain in the butt to install.
The AB video only uses 1 wrench to break the fittings free... that's not right, use a pair of pliers on the other side of the fitting to hold it so the lines don't bend and twist. The "rock back and forth" style in the video makes no sense to me.

Not a hard job and once done you won't be worrying about it again. All in all I think it was a great upgrade for the $.
