Default New OME Lift and New Tires

Hey Everyone, I just finished putting on heavy duty springs and new shocks from OME. I also put on 265/75 R16's Firestone Destination Mud Terrains. They rub on the back quater panels andon some of the plastic up front but I will be cuttingthose pieces out. Just thought I would share my new upgrades. I hope the picture shows up.

It is a Mack Truck Hood Ornament. I love the looks I get with that on there. plus it is a mean looking Dog. This was on my Ford Ranger Until I upgraded to the Rover

I measured the distance from the ground to the wheel well throught the center of the Wheels. I got 4 inches in front and 3 inches in the rear. That was after the tires. They gave another inch lift. Next is a paint job and the Bull bumber and roof rack. I can't wait. I put a picture of my old Ranger on here too.

What is the actual height of the front wheel well trim to the ground?
The reason I am asking is, if you did do the H.D. coils like the 779's or more so the 751's, you will not get any rubbing.
You may want to consider using a set of spring isolators to gain another 1/2".

Hey Mike, It measures 35 inches al the way around. I got the mud terrain tires and I think that is why the rub. I have a friend with a plasma cutter and we are going to cut out some of the quarter panel to make room for the tires. My friend also suggested using spacers to get the wheel to stick out farther. do the make them for land rovers? will that help with the rubbing. The tires hit the radius arms at full turn also.

thanks

Bill, You might want to give me a call before you start cutting. I am running OME's and 265BFG MT's and they never rub, might be worth fixing the rub as apposed to cutting. I'll be around today, Saturday it is off to play in the Rockies, Sunday I'll be here all day.
