Default New Roof Rack **PICS** (Finally!)

As some of you might remember, I installed a 50X50 Surco Safari Rack on my disco about 3 weeks ago. So far, I love the way it looks, and the safari comments have picked WAY up. (Parking lots have never been so fun) Anyways, a short review of it so far: Its the perfect choice for light loads such as general off road stuff, camping stuff, coolers, beach stuff, ect... Its not going to be anywhere near as good as the saftey devices racks, but for those of you on a budget this is a great choice. I think it looks awesome, and it does what I need it to do. I will have to install chicken coop because, as you'll see in the pics the flooring is quite spaced out.

The only bad thing about this was the horrid directions provided by Surco, they were terrible, but I eventually figured it out. So here are the pics! Tell me what you think, and if you are interested in one yourself, feel free to ask any questions!

Oh and, I was on Ebay and I found this beauty. I thought it was just PERFECTO for the rover, so I bought it. Like it??

I remember that post of yours, and because of that, I'm only going to put it up there when I am going off road. Or until someone comes out with someway to lock them. I just put it there for the pics!

I payed $200 for the rack itself, but where they really get you is on the gutter adapters which costed $164, so I payed just under $400, and I bought it during an Atlantic British "free shipping" promo, which IMO is the only way to go when you are buying something big and heavy.

Looking good! The only - is that you can't add light on the front cause they would be too far back... The + is that it is probably quite a bit lighter than the full size SD...

Not to hijack, but...

I may be selling one of my Safety Devices racks (high one so you can open your sun roofs). I have 2 and don't really need the one on the DD. In fact it is stored in my garage right now because I did some touch ups to prevent rust on a few scratched areas... It is in excellent shape. I can take pictures for anyone interested. Oh, and it is in So-Cal...

Cheers!

Yeah, its a killer. I had saved up $200 and I thought I was ready to buy... then I see that you have to buy the adapters for it to even mount! I could have had that thing before Christmas, but nooooo.

Finally, I caught a glimpse of you on the back of it with the rack installed on facebook. Nice to see closeups. Sticker is a nice touch as well. My wife hates stickers, but I think a few well placed decals let you express yourself.
