Here is the update that I downloaded when I purchased mine a year ago.
Autel 619 Update
Last night I using the Autel Update application that loaded on my computer from the CD supplied I was able to log in and download an update called
PC Suite_Autel PC suite_V6.13.zip

From that I got a pop up where I chose "Autel PC Suite-MaxiCheck AbsSrs、MaxiCheck DP... V6.13" and it said that the available update was something called "Service_SystemProgramV4.20Update" I inserted the microcard into my memory card reader and proceeded. Finally got an option to choose from a long list of vehicles. I checked the box for LR and updated the select items. I assume it copied them to the card.

Unfortunately it is raining here so I probably won't get around to checking plugging it into my car to see if it worked.

Just seems like a poorly thought out process. The unit I got has a recent production date, like the latter part of 2013. Why wouldn't they have all the stuff for older cars like my 2003 LR on it?

Chris,

Download the Autel PC Suite V6.13 here: Autel PC Suite

Then open up the PC Suite and select the path were your Micro SD card is.

You will see all the car manufacturers and system updates there.

They updated Land Rover back in December 29 to V1.10.

Now I see they have updated it to V2.00...

Their customer support is extremely efficient. I contacted them a few month ago about issues with the DI's. Hope they researched the issues.

Hope this helps.

Pedro

So far you have done the right things...

With the SD card plugged in, go to the PC Suite and select the Folder INSTALLED PROGRAMS.

There you will see what manufactures you have installed in the Scanner.

You should see Land Rover V2.00.

It's very hard for a Software developer to send you a unit with all the up-to-date software releases. I got mine in November and since then they have updated Land Rover twice and theirs 2-3 times.

IMO that's a good thing, that means they are constantly fixing bugs and keeping up with industry standards.

Ok, the weather improved so I went out and plugged the thing into my data port and it refreshed the memory and system and I was able to get my ABS code as: Shuttle Valve Switch Electrical Failure which from what I can tell is a 114 ABS code.

Since I did the repair outlined here in our Sticky where one routes around the bad circuit board to get to ground a few years back I wonder if this means my shuttle valve switch might have failed in some other way like when the o-rings are bad or if the insulation on the wires has failed somewhere. I have checked to make sure my rerouted ground wire is still firmly connected to ground and I have sufficient DOT 4 fluid in the system. The 3 amigos are coming on erratically, mostly just while driving along, not breaking or anything... BING BING BING and they are there. And they are coming on with just about every drive cycle I take now, several times a day.

Any thoughts?

PS: other than this silly bit about updating the data in the device I like this tool. I have put off buying an OBDII scan tool for some time and got by with a CarChip device but one always has to be near a computer to see what it finds. This tool seems well made and it is a big plus that it does many other things like SRS and ABS codes.

I would check and make sure your ground on the mod you made is not loose. It is possible that your shuttle valves have failed. When I first did the mode my shuttle valve wires were eaten through by brake fluid due to the failure of the seals.

Good point, The ground does seem tight but I might check it with my meter to be sure. And I remember someone mentioning how the brake fluid can do that to the wires if the o-rings fail. I did notice my BF reservoir was a tad low so I topped it off, that could indicate a small leak. I guess if the seals on the switch have failed it shouldn't be out of line with the age of the vehicle at 11 years and the amount of city driving I do with a lot of braking. The switch was fine when I did the modification which is why I didn't replace it then.

Worst part is I remember how long it took to get the SLABS unit loose and those 3 little bolts on the switch underneath taken out but as I recall they are factory installed with some kind of thread lock stuff which I did not use when I put back in last time.

Smile Wow Wow Wow

I got some amazon vouchers, so decided to treat myself to the AL619.

I had to do basically everything that ChrisinHouston detailed.

Actually - small correction - Just like Chris, I did start by making a login, then registering it as AL619. Not sure how/why this matters as you need to update it anyway...

I didn't install the software from the CD like Chris however, as Windows7 threw up all kinds of "publisher can't be verified" warnings from the CD software.
Instead, I just went to Autel logged in with my username, , then updated, selecting the "Autel PC Suite-MaxiCheck AbsSrs、MaxiCheck DP... V6.13" which (after eventually connecting to the server) bought up all the available updates for every vehicle, and added all the extra languages (previously it only showed English). Not that it probably matters, but it does Chinese (two versions), French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Korean, Portugese, Italian and Swedish...

In TOTAL, it took 35 minutes working through it and it updating all the vehicles available (landrover alone would have been probably less than 10 minutes including the email signup and other mumbo-jumbo)...

Pulled the microSD out of the laptop, inserted back into the 619, and went out to the D2.

Plugged it in, and (perhaps not surprisingly) I got the results I was hoping to see! It showed me I have the shuttle valve issue as the reason my Amigos come to visit occasionally. It also told me I had a RH pre-tensioner short under the SRS system (which I knew nothing about). I cleared both codes, and will keep an eye on the pre-tensioner, and will dive into the shuttle valve once I know this cold weather is over.

The ABS info shows my wabco product number, ABS module #, diagnostics module #, my VIN #, so yeah,,,, IT WORKS!!!

If you want a purchase and use option, and are computer illeterite, then the RSW Amigo is for you. If you have some common computer smarts, then the AL619 is the best value of all in my opinion.

Oh yeah, it also talked to ABS, SRS codes on all my other vehicles too...

Glad I found this thread, my amigos had come on...

Purchased off amazon, and arrived the other day, registered and downloaded the latest update for 619, then downloaded the landrover update. the directions in the thread are good, just follow them. I plugged it in and it read and cleared my codes. I have the shuttle valve electrical failure so I will need to figure out which fix I need to do, I am not very mechanical but can get things done. Headed over to the sticky section now to look at my options...

Thanks for the recommendation!!

I got my Autel 619 several months ago to help with my amigos (worked great) but found it didn't read/clear SRS codes. Do the latest updates include SRS for Disco II? I have an SRS light that is my next challenge.
