Talking New Tires!

After 3 months of attempting trails on the street tires, I finally realized new tires were the way to go. I just bought treadwright's 245/75/16 MTGs and will hopefully be receiving them within the week! Anyone used these or have any experience with treadwright? Im stoked as this is my first mod on the truck, and I cant wait to keep adding..

New tires make a huge difference on the trails. I tried the street tires/ATs for a while with not much success so I bought new tires also. Air the tires down to 18-20 psi for the trails and you'll have no problems plus the low pressure makes for a decent ride.

My tires were delivered today, and they look a good bit taller than my stock ones now.. It looks as if they will be extremely close to the fairings when turning, does anyone know if trimming is necessary for 245/75/16 mt's?

Got the tires put on today, and they fit like a glove. I'm a little worried they they'll rub on the trails but they should be good for now. Here's a pic of what they look like, maybe more to come later.

My D1 has rub issues at full lock with 245/75R16. I don't know if the D2 will be different.

After a day or so of street driving, i haven't noticed any rubbing yet.. even at full lock theres an inch or so of room before the bumper, so all seems well. Im curious to see over the next few months how the re-treads wear, and if there is any noticeable difference between those and new. Thanks for the comments!
