Default newbie - front prop questions.

So, I have an '03 Disco that I purchased from the original owner in Feb. Not too many hiccups since having owned the disco, but I do have several questions concerning the front prop. I also ordered and received a new front prop from BPU in the event my current prop should be replaced.

So, there are three photos and one video. One of the photos really isn't a front prop question, but since I was under the truck and spotted these wires, wanted to shoot a photo and send them to you readers to see what it is I have. Also, no grease fittings in the hookes joint, therefore no photos to share.

About the video, just wanted to share the "play" I have on the front prop and to gauge whether or not this amount of play and "clanking" noise is normal.

Thanks guys.
Rob

ps having a hard time uploading video...I'll work on that.

OMG REBUILD...

But seriously, 1st photo is a greasable front u-joint going into the front diff. The other thing in the first photo you ask about is a bank 2 rear 02 sensor on your Y pipe. 3rd photo is a metal circlip on a double cardon drive shaft.

Pic 3 does appear to be a grease fitting but you have to use a needle fitting on your grease gun.

Woops...sorry I didn't see the little red arrow in pic 3, I thought you were pointing at the circlip. Yes that's a grease fitting, here's the part you need to grease that -

Thanks guys.

Sounds like the front prop I have is OEM and need to replace it.

To ZGphoto....thanks for the link for what I need. FYI I live in Boxford, MA
For the record, we like Vermont. In fact, heading to Quechee for a quick 5 day getaway. Hoping to sell our motorhome and purchase a condo in Quechee Lakes, VT.

Wow! That is nuts, I was only asking because a lot of my family is from that area, including specifically Boxford! 13 Elm street, white house, was on the telephone book a couple years back. Not sure how long you've been there but they are the Dechenes.
