Not giving up
So I posted this on some other thread but I was wondering if someone can help me diagnose an issue that I have. Long story short was running rich, I knew it was the original purge valve that was stuck and O2 sensors being clogged. I changed the the valve and O2 sensors and then my truck started to hesitate and motor would shake. Turned out to be multiple misfires. Changed knock sensor and plugs and as of now I only have 4 codes as opposed to having 8 before. Right now it's telling me that cylinder 3 and 5 are misfiring and the two front O2 sensors are reading bad, codes are p0135 and p0155.
I have an idea about the misfires, I downgraded my spark plug wires to the crappy AutoZone duralast wires and I will maybe either go with Kingsborne or Magnecor. But as far the O2 sensors, does anyone have a clue to what cause those codes to pop up??

3 and 5 are on the same coil, because you have both misfiring I think you might have them mixed up or the coil might be bad. As far as the 02's, sounds like you got bad ones out of the box. Those are the heater codes and unless your wiring is jacked up they should work any time the truck is on. You can check the wiring diagram and check for 12v on the two heater wires, if you have 12v then check the sensors, you should have some resistance between the wires. Infinite resistance means an open heater circuit.

I picked up Bosch at Rockauto for pretty cheap.

I went through a lot of the same problems with my truck when I first got it. I learned certain items shouldn't be replaced on the cheap or with a different brand. Mass air flow sensor and oxygen sensors - Bosch is less likely to give you trouble. I found a good deal on Magnecor wires years ago and they've been great.

You can buy a cheaper oem vw maf assembly (same bosch sensor as rover) and reuse your rover housing.
Coils can be done in about an hour. I've had good luck with 70 dollar Amazon ones ymmv.
I had no issues with bosch o2 sensors other than a leaky head gasket and valve cover killed one quickly. An ebay seller had these for sub 50 bucks each out of Miami.
The fuel mileage you save makes it worth while to replace dead o2 sensos. At least on a daily driver.

Yeah I think I got the AutoZone brand coil pack awhile back...don't know what I was thinking. Maybe because of the 20% discount I got on them when I used to work there. I was also looking at the Magencors but I couldn't stomach spending $170 on them, I went with Karlyn/STI I believe.
