I have an 04 Discovery that is due for Front Pads and Rotors. I am trying to find out who the OEM is for these parts. Can anyone help me out? The dealer claims to not know this info, but they will sell me the parts for $350. I figure I can get the same parts someplace else for a little cheaper.
Thanks.
Thanks.

How many miles on your truck and what sort of driving do you do with it?
There are a couple companies that have made pads for Rovers over the year. Might want to call Atlantic British, they offer about 3 ways to go, all that will work fine depending on how you drive.

Thanks for the info. There isabout 53,500 miles on the truck and we don't do any abnormal driving with it. Pretty standard stuff. We do pull a boat, about 4,000 lbs. That is my main concern, I just want to be sure I replace the stock pads/rotors with something that will last.

The absolute best set of brakes would be using a set of DBA, slotted and drilled rotors with Kevlar brake pads. These are expensive but will out stop standard Rover brakes and last easily twice as long. Look at, http://www.dap-inc.com/index.shtml for the best price on DBA's or go to Atlantic British and read about their 3 different levels of brakes.
