So, I've been working on getting the truck in shape for a while now. I'm hoping on taking on her some trail drives in the near future, and would appreciate some resources on trail driving you might be familiar with. I could get out there and just "muscle" it, but I'm a little older and, hopefully, a bit wiser than that. thanks...

Some years ago, about 2001/2 we driving down the mountain roads towards Nice during winter/spring and caught up with a Golf GT, Swiss registered, and a BMW, also Swiss reg, they were having their own little tear up ding dong so I decided to join the fray for the hell of it. I was driving a near new D2 4.0 V8 at the time. It became apparent these two clowns 'couldn't drive a greasy stick up a dogs ****' but the road was slightly icy and damp. We were running alongside a 500-1000 ft drop with a few stone blocks to separate the road from doom. I thoroughly enjoyed that drive (the wife didn't) and the two Swiss guys stopped when I stopped at a mountain cafe and bought us breakfast just for giving them a good run for their money. They had thoroughly enjoyed the tear up too for about 100 kilometres. On reflection I must have been completely mad ............. insane .............. one mistake and certain death down the mountainside and into the river below![Big Grin](https://landroverforums.com/forum/images/smilies/lxvR5hR.png)
so we do some crazy things just for a laugh and hopefully live to tell the tale.
