i have a 2000 disc II with a brush guard and I would like to install some additional lighting on the brush guard. I have some light kits that i bought for another project that never made it on. I have two kits one is 100watt yellow fog and the other is a 150watt clear driving lens. both kits came with a heavy duty 30amp wiring harness, fused, with relays but toggle switches. first question can any of the non-fuctioning dash switches be made to operate? I have the front and rear fog light switches but the 3 below do nothing they dont even push in. question two the wiring digram with the kit show + running to the battery and - is grounded, i would rather see the + to a keyed power source so that they can not be left on. does anyone know of a power source under the hood that would be more suited than another.

There is another post in here called "brush guard lights" where a bunch of info on this was posted. I'm trying to get my lights to work and that post has a couple of links to wiring in lights and how to use the existing buttons. You might look in there.
