Snow will be here soon and I will have to cross a slight uphill slope of unplowed snow, about 20ft in distance and about 1ft deep, from the plowed road to my garage. (see pic). Once I have made tracks through it gets very icy.
Bought the Disco so I would not have to stop and put chains on and also so I didn't have to use a shovel. (former works just great) What is the best configuration of that little stubby gearlever that controls the diff lock so that I can get in and out of my garage without using a shovel please?![Smile](https://landroverforums.com/forum/images/smilies/H5uKDcM.png)
Thanks

Wild Country tires but they will need replacing soon. I do mostly highway stuff and it's only that last 20ft into the garage that I get stuck sometimes. One time got stuck and couldn't open the side doors due to the stack of snow either side. (as you can see in the pic) Too fat to get out the sunroof
but made it out the back door and left it there overnight!
Reminded me of the night when I was 17 and drove into my parents driveway at 2 am and the drain manhole cover snapped and a wheel went down. Problem was the gateposts were stopping the coupe doors from opening so I was truly trapped. Hit the horn and a very grim dad came out in his PJs at 2:00am!!! Yep I was grounded.

Here is what you need.
http://toro.com/home/snowthrowers/ga...stage/180.html
I dont shovel, I have a bad back.
Bought my Toro 10 years ago and it still starts right up the first or second pull and will go though snow as deep as it is tall.

The motion of shoveling and raking puts me out of commission.
When I work I lift with my legs if it is a heavy package, which we dont get many of because I am Home Delivery.
So we deliver mostly computers, i-pods, etc.
Big stuff ships Ground most of the time.
If I get something to heavy, it gets pushed out the back of the van and where it lands is where it stays. (within reason)
But the constant motion of shoveling puts me on the couch for hours.
I was in a really bad car accident when I was 17, hit a tree at 60mph in a 1981 Ford Escort, no airbag, no seatbelt...had the ambulance been 10 min later I would not be here today.
I was in the hospital for 2 weeks, at home in bed for another 2, in a wheelchair for 9 more.
I have more than a bad back.
