Default Oil and dip stick questions

Is the difference between the full and add marks on the dip stick 1 quart?

What is everyone seeing for oil consumption? I did a couple long trips back to back of about 3500 miles and added just over a quarter of a quart. With my motor freshly rebuilt I expected a little extra oil consumption as it wore in

I don’t think it’s even close to a quart between add and full mark at most I would say 1/2 litre

with a fresh motor I don’t think your should be consuming any oil. If the rings were installed properly and the heads are good why would it be burning oil

I don’t add any oil in my 03 oil changes every 5-7000 Kilometres

When I say consumed that would also include what leaked from the valve covers before I tightened them lol

I do my own oil service, what I have done is measure the quarts going to the max fill line, then add 1quart and with a side cutter plyer, make a hash indent on the dipstick, now I know I can fill up to x line and have x amount of quarts in the system. That is just me though, I don’t know if my engine is consuming the oil, but it does weep a little (lots) while running
