I would think the one without rails would be less likely to clear the sunroofs. But I don't have them. And I think they look silly with a roof rack AND rails, but it's all just opinion. There is a 1997 XD down the street, and it was the first I saw without roof rails, and I've been jealous every since. I figure I need to redo my headliner pretty soon anyway, I might as well remove the rails at that time.

Also, I think the lower one might make it easier to get into some parking garages... but there are probably many that it still won't fit in.

I voted and in the mean time, if anyone is looking for a good used one with flooring and 4 Hella 4000's, give me a shout.

Is it in CO? I'll bet shipping would be a lot for me.

The SD racks for Discoveries without roof rails will not clear fully open sunroofs. You can only open them partially.
