Default Oil seal gushing oil at revs

Hi there!

I just did head gaskets, replaced cam bearing #4 (it walked), main and rod bearings on my engine. I toleranced everything and changed all the seals and I have great hot oil pressure now (26PSI vs 2PSI before), however, as soon as I touch the revs the front crank seal gushes with oil. Its un-driveable, I can't even get 2500rpm without tons of oil just spilling out. There is very little grooving on the harmonic balancer shaft and I'm sure I assembled everything correctly. I ordered a new seal thinking maybe the one I installed isn't a good fit but any suggestions on errors I may have made during assembly would be hugely appreciated!

I checked the hole on the cam bearing was lined up perfectly with the hole in the block. I was running 15/40 oil which I think is too thick given how fresh the bearings all are now. I replaced the oil pump gears with a new set and all the gaskets too.

Thanks!

What brand was the front seal? I've seen plenty of aftermarket front seals leak due to not being the same design as the LR OEM part. The aftermarket units won't have as many lips on them and they can leak.

Honestly I don't know, it's exactly what I was thinking as it was part of a kit which I wasn't so sold on. I've just gone ahead and ordered a Corteco ERR6490G hoping that would solve it. Have you got any experience with Fel-Pro 41690? I ask as that is readily available at my local Napa.

Thanks!

Fel-Pro usually makes good stuff so I'd certainly try it.

Awesome, appreciate the heads up! I've got a few coming in and i'll make sure to change it out. I'll try and report back, possibly help someone else who's scratching their head on why their disco is vomiting oil all over the floor!
