Default OME 751 Front / 762 rears Question

I have a 2000 Disco, with OME 751 front and 762 rears. Car sags about 3/4 to 1 inch in the rear. Which of the following should I do?

1. Change rear to Disco 1 spring seats (that is, if they will fit) Im told an additional 3/4 lift.
2. add spring isolators (already have one on each side, I can add 2 more on each side).
3. buy OME 763 rear springs (dont care if too stiff, its my trail car)
4. install 1 inch spacers (dont need to buy them since I already have 4 from a shipment mistake).

RTE bumper and superwinch have been on the car for 9 months now, and the front end has not levelled out yet. Still an inch higher then the rear. Any thoughts or other recommendations?

I have been going through the exact same thing as you mrossipir. I have the same springs and the rear is noticeably lower. I know that DiscoMike has the same setup with the D1 springs but I haven't seen a picture to know what it looks like. Maybe someone will show us a picture with the D1 spring seats or a spacer.

The spring setup you have is technically intended for the D1 but works for the D2 also. In order to get the truck to sit level get yourself a set of D1 spring seats and you'll be good to go.

Do you know how much higher the D1 spring seats with make the rear end? The 763 springs (provided I swap out my 762's) should give me another full inch. In that case, maybe i should just use 2 X 1 inch spacers which I already have. Incidentally, malmberg I have 4 new 1 inch spacers and would only be using 2 so if you wanted to buy the other 2 from me cheap, PM me.

The spring seats really make no difference, the problem lies with the fact you have D1 springs on the front and D2 springs on the rear, the 751's give approx 3" lift, where as the 762's only give approx a 2" lift, thats why shes *** down.

To fix it properly, either go down to 779's on the front, or upto 763's on the rear, adding spacers is not the best way to do it.

What would happen if we tried to use the D1 hd springs for the rear on ours? If the front springs are a inch longer would the back ones be the same?

First, don't go to the 763's unless you want a really firm ride.
I installed, with Tom's help 762's in the rear along with D1 spring seats. At this point it is nearly level, if you needed a little more put 1 or 2 Rover isolators, each will give you 3/8".
Shout if you have any problems.

The 762s are the D1 HD springs. They also fit the D2 but require either D1 spring seats to sit level with 751s up front or the use of 779s up front which is the D2 HD spring. Finding a pair of D1 springs seats is going to be a lot more cost effective than buying another set of springs.

If you have a chance to compare D1 and D2 spring seats side by side you'll see the difference and understand why they make a difference in ride height. The D1 spring seat is half the height of a D2 seat.

Maybe I missing somink here............The spring seat is the height of the bottom coil on both models, I don't see a height difference at all.

There is a difference of 1/2" between the D1 seats and the D2, need to see them next to each other to see the difference.
