Hey guys-

The weather is getting warmer in Chicago and I am back to getting some stuff done.

I've had an intermittent P0154 code pending and it is my final remaining code. The check engine light is not on and I am not seeing any apparent symptoms, but since it comes and goes I am assuming this is something I need to take care of.

I changed the plugs and wires (Magnecor 8 MM and Bosch plugs) and the code still shows up as pending every once in a while.

I know the code indicates that there is no activity in my front passenger O2 sensor. Is my best bet to replace the sensor and if so, is it pretty straightforward if I follow the Rave manual?

Is there anything else that could cause this?

First step would be to disconnect, clean, and reconnect the connector for the sensor, they like to get oil inside there.

Hey, any luck with the P0154? I'm getting a consistent alarm for P0154 on my UltraGauge, but no check engine light.

I've read replacing sensors should be done in pairs. Is it worth cleaning one, or should I replace the pair?

I just cleaned our o2 sensors plugs with contact cleaner as the 2 front ones were full of oil but you have to pull the white part out the plugs to really get them clean.

If you have a 154 that comes and goes and you are at the 100,000 range, I would suggest you replace both front 02's and be done with it.

BCD, you might want to tighten or replace your v/c gaskets to stop the leaks which can also take out your crank sensor.

Already done, this was all from the previous owner.

Doesn't mean that 1 sensor hasn't failed or have oil in the connection.

Yeah, I'm right at 106K. The P0154 seems to have gone away as mysteriously as it arrived... I'll put oxygen sensors on the list, right after I get this lousy window regulator replaced.

If you are looking for a new window regulator, might try E-Bay, a friend of mine bout a set of 2 front window regulators for just under $100.
