P0170 Code help
I have searched the forums and cannot find reasoning for this code, but in some other vehicles it is listed as fuel trim, but for the LR I have no definitive answer.
Help is greatly appreciated, THanks |
A 170 is a fuel trim malfunction on bank 1, drivers side.
Check for vacuum and exhaust leaks for starters, get back to us and let us know what you find. |

Check all connections and one was loose, which once properly fitted cleared the code, but now have a 1030 which is an o2 sensor from what i gather. Is there a way to tell which one?
|
As far as I can tell, there is no 1030 fault code for a Rover. Recheck the code number and get back to us.

Rechecked and I had it wrong. P0130 is the code I am getting.
Thanks again |
My book says a front O2 sensor shorted, no volts, well, below 0.0399 volts.

THats the exact senor the coolant was leaking on to before i fixed my throttle body heater. I'll pull it and clean it off if possible ot see if this fixes the issue, which i hope it does given i just replace all of the 02 sensors last year.

Checked sensor and it seems to be clean and in working order, but am still getting the 1030 code with no reason for it? I checked for exhaust leaks as well and cannot find one, so now I am not sure what to look for?
|
Unplug sensor cable, and clean with electrical contact cleaner?
