Lots going on here! I would tackle the hot engine first as that would be a major setback if it fries. Any number of reasons. thermostat (get a 180 grey), clogged radiator, temp sensor, fan clutch, rubber hoses not connected correctly (I had this issue)....

Haha yes for sure but she's running 100 percent now.

After installing 180 degree thermostat all was good. Defective or aged thermostat from the get go is my guess.

You will have to replace the entire knock sensor cable as you have found out.

Ahhh, Just saw your last line about the 180 T-stat! Key fob will have to be programmed by dealer, nanocom, or another computer with key programming capability. If you plan to keep your disco for a while, I suggest you check out black box nanocom.
