I think all these cheap "chips" do is install a resistor inline with your coolant temp sensor which tricks your car in to thinking it's hotter and runs it leaner or something to that effect.
Ask them for the instal instruction and see where the wires go. Dollars to donuts it has something to do with that. And if there's one thin I do NOT want to mess with it's the cooling system

Mighty Car Mods on YouTube tested one of these chips and there wasn't even a resistor. It was literally just a little black box you put in line that had a tiny circuit board powering an LED. No resistor or anything.

that company has a slogan
"There is one born every minute" If you catch my drift.
The PO had some little box wired into the MAF and it was the first thing to go.
still have it if someone wants to pick it up local. I don't know the name or which wires to hook it up to.
In my experience, Diesel engines are the only engines that really gain hp, torque mileage etc from any kind of programmer.
