I would not pay them another nickel to do a damn thing. Get a LR specific shop. Who did you get the box from. Original box can be rebuilt with new seals. The rest of it basically never wears out.

The second new gearbox is in, but the shop says they still can’t get the play out. They cleaned up the old gearbox and put it back in. While they say it’s better, it’s still not right. Imrbey also mentioned that all the new tie rods and ball joints are to spec, so they don’t understand why this is happening. That being said, they assured me they won’t return the LE until it’s fixed. I’ll update you all once the problem is resolved.

Note: I had a brand new pair of corrected radius arms, but they said they didn’t fit (Terra Firma). My next step is to get them to fix what they can and then take it to the local Land Rover shop to ensure everything is right.

Just picked up the rover, they just put the old gear box back in, put the old tie rod back in as well with new joints.

I need to drive it more but I can tell it’s not resolved… they blame the tires now, they are uneven.

They also put CHP 202 instead of 11 I don’t know if that will make a difference or not. (Anyone know?)

I'm now feeling a misfire, or maybe a fuel issue.

tough love with my disco lol

I strongly agree with those who say take it to a Land Rover specialist. That will be my next step, going to drive it like this for a while tho.

North Texas British I’ll see you sooner or later 🫡
