Please help ASAP.. how to remove automatic shift knob
 
Also if you know how the center console assembly gets removed that would help. I do have RAVE, but I am not seeing how the knob removes, so assume it is not detailed in the rest of dissembly of center console.

There's no screw holding it in place, so pull straight up. Might require some tugging.

Just make sure you don't twist it, or it may break (ask how I know that, LOL). You need to put it in "D", then pull as hard as you can til it pops off -- At least that's how it is on my 99 D2.

thanks guys... I didnt try brute force yet, usually that method doesnt work, but with land rovers i'm not shocked. NYTel... we dont live too far, I'm over in Belle Harbor

there is a cap on top you pop off, then there is a nut. don't yank it off these people are crazy.

On a D1 yes, on a D2 no, he has a D2.............. so we are NOT crazy ;)

Yep just pull like you never have pulled before and do watch your head and knuckles it will pop off hard. I just haven't figured out how to stop it from rotating around after it is removed?? any ideas?
