IF you have actually installed these brands on your rover or another car and have some input, this would be very helpful in determining which way we go with our project car over here!

On my 99 D2, I went to 751 front coils and replaced the SLS with 762 coils along with the OME HD coils and steering stabilizer

Hey Mike,

Thanks for the reply.

can you clue me in on some of your lingo? 751 and 762 are lenghts in mm? SLS = ?

I'm still getting up to speed on all the Disco lingo coming from the BMW side of things.

Looks like everyone really likes these OME kits!

Have you ever tried the MD version? or you went straight for HD?

Are you using polybush bushings too?

I've just installed the OME Medium spring coils and NitroCharger shocks on my 04.

With 265/75/16, I went from 32 1/2" inch from floor to wheel well to 36".

Though, I would have gone with Rovertym spring coils instead because they are thicker thus more lift.

751 and 762 are the model numbers from OME

SLS = Self Leveling Suspension (air bags) they leak and then we replace them with springs.

751 is a HD spring from a D1 that gives an extra inch lift that is needed when running metal bumpers and a winch.
The 762 is a HD rear spring needed to keep the truck level when using the 751 front springs.
Most people who just occasionally go wheeling are better off with a medium duty OME springs along with the HD OME shocks.
There is no need for any bushing changes when running a lift on a D2.

Using OME 779's (heavy duty D2) on the front of mine with an ARB + winch, been fine so far, still got 2" SLS spacers on the rear at the moment. If you have a winch bumper like an ARB or similar, then a MD spring will sag pretty quick, even more so with a winch in it

OME is a nice value. If I had more $ to throw at my rover, I'd get the 3" kit from Rovertym, but it's about $1200.

Instead I went with a 3" from OME for $750 shipped.

I really liked my OME HD on my 97 D1, however if I had some extra cash when I purchased my lift I would have gone with Rovertym.
