Default Proper tire rotation

I want to rotate the tires on my 2000 Discovery. I am trying to find the proper tire rotation for the Discovery. I see alot of conflicting information when I google it. I don't feel like sitting at Discount Tire for over an hour again so I will do it my self.

Thank you,
Willie

I just rotate the front to back every 5,000. Hope I'm not doing it wrong LOL

Ask the people who made the tires you're using.

I rotate mine every time I drive.

Front to back, leave the spare alone (just check it for proper inflation).

I'll swear by front to back to any customer that will listen. The proper method according to the tire companys for non-directional radials is cross cornered. However, if you roll 5000mi mostly in forward, the steel belt will lean inside the tire, if you then take that tire and swap it's natural rolling direction it will shift the belts back the other way. You do that enough you're bound to break a belt. Just this mechanics opinion......

There's also the argument, pretty valid IMO, of not rotating at all since it masks alignment problems. The caveat for that is paying close attention to any wear issues and correct them right away.

My tires are wearing pretty even across the tread, but they are cupping a little. I have not rotated them for at least 10,000 miles now. They are BFG all terrains with 80,000 miles on them. I will rotate them front to back.

Thank you,
Willie

Screw the miles, I rotate mine once a year when I do my annual inspection.

Front to Back. Every 5000 is fine.
