Default PS pump shaft broke free

So my power steering stopped working and I pulled the belt, it appears that the PS pump shaft is just spinning. I can pull the pulley forward until it hits the fan and it's still attached to the shaft. Should I order a new pump now or is it possible that I can salvage it? Any ideas before I tear apart next week?
