Default Pulley Bearings getting installed this weekend with PICS

Got a whining noise and read that these are most likely culprit. Belt was changed when I did the intake/o-rings refresh. Bought the 3 bearings needed to replace them all off eBay.

# 131070 $12.98

# PQR101150 $46.03

# PQR500060 $24.00

Total all 3 bearings: $83.01 shipped

Be careful with the Uro part. Their parts are generally very sub-par.

Thanks for the tip. I just inspected the Uro part and the pulley looks to be a very solid metal the bearing is Japan. I'll compare the two once I have them out.

When I replaced mine it was my tensioner bearing that was shot. The pulley was almost grinding its way round. I'm convinced I've seen better gas milage since.

Easy job, and satisfying. Do a quick sketch of the routing before you take the belt off.

All 3 pulley bearings installed. Not a hard job and all can be done from the top. It would have been a whole lot easier if you remove the fan, I didn't have a correct to do that. No more whining noise and I am very happy the way it sounds now.

You'll need a 13, 14 and 15mm sockets and a torque wrench.

Nicely done. I tried to get my fan off, but could t do the nut. Not enoug friction and realised it didn't need to come off.

Any indication which of the pullys was at fault? Any rough bearings?

Second that; I bought some off eBay and one of them disintegrated and ended up shredding a brand new belt, not to mention I had to be towed home. Just be careful. If you hear squealing it's only a matter of time...

Just checked the old bearings and it was the PQR101150 on that was notchy. The others we're smooth.

Just an update after driving to and from work today. I park in a parking garage and it used to be really noisy, now it's nice an quiet. Absolutely worth the $83 spent and a couple hours of work to install.
