I'd be all over this as well. The stealership is a two and 1/2 hour round trip drive and I don't want to spend $200 for something that I'm probably going to be using just once.

The longer a person has been around the board and established a reputation the more confidence I'd have in renting from or two them.

There's only a few Land Rover boards on the interwebs and it's a smallish community. Because of the cross posting some of us do, being shunned from one would lead to that person being a black sheep anywhere.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I wasn't so detailed on the terms so here it is:

Shipping will be done via USPS Flat rate box $5 to and $5 from.

TERMS:
1. Pay for the ABS Amigo in FULL = $210
2. Pay for the Data Cable (Optional) + $5
3. Pay for my cost of shipping + $10 ($5 USPS Flat rate box plus $5 handling, i.e. my drive to post office)
4. Pay fee $15

5. Once I receive the unit it will be thoroughly tested by the following method:
  1. Able to download last text file? Pass / Fail
  2. Able to plug into a DII OBDII port and cycle through scan process so light turns green. Pass / Fail
  3. Able to download new text file? Pass / Fail
  4. Able to view last fault code has been cycled and pushed out of history. Pass / Fail
  5. Verify data against Hawkeye Scanner. Pass / Fail
Once everything is a "Go" then I refund the $210.

The only cost to the renter is $15 fee plus $15 Shipping ( $5 To and $5 from and $5 fee)

I will be very selective on who I rent to. # of posts doesn't mean you are more trust worthy.... (sloppyjoe)

And if you don't return it, you bought it. So hopefully only serious members will be involved with this.
