No. Just lay the plenum gasket on top. Should not need sealant. My plenum gasket almost felt like metal it was so stiff

Are you doing head gaskets or valve cover gaskets?

Hi jamieb , and thanks for your reply ! I messed up in my post ! I MEANT VALLEY GASKET ! I have this valley gasket totally covered in some kind of composite ! and I am not sure if i should use sealant ? I have read all i can . Most people say use sealant in the 4 corners of gasket and on the 2 rubber end peices where the bolt on metal pieces are ? if you know better ! I most certainly would like your advice ! . Many thanks for your reply ! Greatly appreciated . Kindest regards Nick.

no sealant needed on "most" of the valley gasket.....except put some in the corners where the heads / intake manifold / rubber end caps all meet....there is usually a very small gap there and the sealant will help keep it from leaking oil there.....give it a dry fit first( just set the manifold in place) to determine exactly where and how much to use

I used RTV around the water jacket ports.
