Replacing lights in console and dash switches
For a 98 discovery,Has anyone replaced the lights in the console for the shifter, and the lights in the switches for the Cruise and fog light switch?

RE: Replacing lights in console and dash switches
The bulbs are teeny and you will have to go to the dealer. I replaced my clock light and my cruise and some of my climate lights went out. Turned out to be a loos wire. Check voltages on the dash lights before replacing. The shifter lights are easy.

RE: Replacing lights in console and dash switches
I have it done by a mechanic. But, I'm very much interested on how it is exactly done. I'll try to search for it and just post the site here if I'd be able to find a clear guide. ;)

RE: Replacing lights in console and dash switches
Replaced shifter lights. very very easy. Also gave me a chance to clean around shifter handles and clean rubber cover.
The lights on the buttons for the cruise and fog lamps a little more difficult. Easy to remove switches, takes a little tlc to remove tiny bulbs for switches. Needed to obtainbulbs from dealer. All is well now. There is nothing like driving a healthy Discovery. |
