Default Is this the right part

I have a Discovery II, 95,000 miles.
I have a PO430 code.
All O2 sensors have been changed.
Was told by my mechanic to purchase the following part to change:
Discovery II Catalytic Y Pipe

Is this the right move. The part is listed at $415 at a land rover parts internet site.

Thank you for your time to respond.

No, he is wrong and just wants to make more money from you.
You need to replace the passenger side cat, any muffler shop can cut out the old and install a new after market cat for around $100.

My Apologies. Year of Disco 2001. I live in California. Does the recommendation still applies?
