Default SES P1412 and 1415 codes

03 D2 w/ 107K. I replaced all the O2 sensors a few months back. Now new SES light back on. Codes read P 1412 and 1415 (SAS Fault bank 1 and 2). I checked all hoses. No leaks or loose connections. Secondary air pump running. No out of the way sounds. I'll go back to parts store to get the codes cleared. Next step, see if the codes re appear. Any advice until then. Is it safe to drive.

If you’re getting those faults it’s either the line from the SAI pump is disconnected or cracked/melted, or the small lines that run from the intake manifold/SAI Valves/SAI Solenoid are loose or leaking (the 90 degree connections are famous for getting loose). Also on 03-04’s the canister is mounted over by the pump kinda high & I’ve seen plenty of those nipples broken off.

Or just yank off all that SAI junk and clear your engine light once a week.

Find another parts store! Mine would clear anything back in the day before I had my own equipment.

Just reset it. Now I'll see how long that lasts. Hopefully I can still pull my popup camper this weekend?

Or buy an Ultra Gauge for $80. It's mandatory equipment for a D2

You shouldn't have any problems. It's just the SAI. Might be the purge valve or the SAI pump. Check fuses/fusable links too.

This was my issue on our '03. Found one of the little lines was cracked. I just used silicone tape and will replace it later.
