Default Shameful wiper switch

I know. The wiper switch sucks. Really, how could they screw this up? So, my question is; After replacing with a new switch, has there been problems same as the original?? Does this replacement do the trick??

wiper switch on the column. Sometimes they work. Sometimes they don't. I just want to know if the replacements are sound, and no problems

Switches are switches and codes are codes... where they'll wind up, nobody knows

I had an intermittent issue with my wipers a few years back. Never changed the switch and the issue went away. I've read that others have been successful with changing them out however.

Some D2 owners clean out the the contacts inside of the wiper switch. I’ve been meaning to do this on my switch. Mine doesn’t work until I switch it to the 3rd position and then switch it back to the 1st intermittent position and then it starts working.

mine works great on slow and fast; on intermittent it goes 1/2 up, 1/2 down, all the way up, 1/2 down, 3/4 up....I have a new switch but haven’t had a chance to switch it out yet.

i have been told by others on here that it could be caused by a corroded or broken ground strap From the wiring harness on the body, under the hood, on the firewall sometimes...but I’ve never found any broken or corroded grounds as described.

Yes, same issue. Move switch in various positions to get it to work. So, I'm going to try blasting WD-40 through openings and move switch back and forth. Maybe the lint from my cheap a@% clothes and English Leather cologne are rotting the connectors.

Electrical contact cleaner will work better than WD40.
