Should i buy a Dicovery with over 100,000 miles??

Default Should i buy a Dicovery with over 100,000 miles??

I was Wondering if i should buy a Discovery with over 100,000 miles or not?? I was looking at a 98 Disco and a 97 Disco, and they both have over 100,000 miles?? Should i keep looking or not?? and if i shouldent which one should i get the 98 and 97 and why??

I have a 98 300 tdi with 256000 kilometers on the clock it runs like a dream, and regulaly does 1500ks on bush rds and never let me down. try and get full service history, Regards Oily

If maintained properly that engine can pull 200,000 plus with no problems.

diesel D1's are very rare and expensive here in the states, I'm sure he's looking at a gas burner. Lets not confuse him with diesel engine endurance stats.

i bought my 97 with 150,000 miles... other than some regular maintenance and the steering box starting to leak last week, it has been very dependable... i would not hesitate to drive it anywhere

I Bought mine last October with 112,000 Mi. on it. Rebuilt the heads and did gaskets, hoses and all that over the winter because of a very slight leak in the back of the right head. More maintenence than anything. I now have 135,000 Mi. on it with no real problems. I got a carfax report with mine and all maintenence records with it as well. It has never let me down.

I bought my 97 last December with 106k and now have over 118k with no regrets.
