Default The Silver Surfer Lives

Got my newest truck on the road and she is a real peach. This one is for me and don't have anymore daughters needing one so I want to man this one up over time.

She came out of Florida with ZERO rust underneath and a FUBAR motor. I had the motor pulled from an 04 parts truck that had about 90k miles on it but a bent frame. My mechanic did all the stuff needed while the motor was out. Total mechanic bill was $1600 but the old guy only charges $30 an hour.

I decided to delete the SAI and planned on swapping out a non-SAI ECU into it but I have been driving it all week and no codes have shown up. I assume it cycles after so many start ups so I might just live with occasional code clearing.

I was gonna take it to the Land Rover shop about 2 hrs away and have them kill the alarm and anti-theft. Also I wanted to turn on the heated windshield and swap over the switches and glass from my parts truck. Anything else while I am there?

I am debating just doing a permanent by-pass on the Inertia switch but that might be stupid in the event of a wreck.

I deleted the fender flares and mud flaps for a better look (IMO). I am going to install a hood blackout, a locking CLD, brakes, 60k service, etc.

The 3 amigos were on but I cleared them and they haven't come back but will do Option B just for fun. This truck had about 145K miles on it and was still running the original driveshaft. Lucky 8 fixed me up on that.

Cheers

After seeing yours, LR really should have paint matched the fenders. Looks great.

I’ve always liked silver, black, maroon, and some green’s without the black flares.
