SLS Air Spring Problem
I have what looks to be a big issue.
I can't extend the new air springs for my DII any further. I bought them pretty cheap off ebay. But, when holding them up to the springs on my DII, they're about three or four inches shorter than the fully extended springs on my car. Anyone else experience this? This looks to be a hell of a problem.

That's what I was thinking. But now that I've stared at them for 5 minutes, it looks like they should be able to extend more. But I can't seem to pull them apart. Maybe when they get pressurized?
Honestly after a recent experience 40 miles from any building and having an airbag fail I would nix the air system. Unless you don't off road at all, in which case it's not that bad if it fails as long as you have AAA.
Yeah I do. I know some other people who use their air suspension off road too and it works great for them. And just out of curiosity, how do you like that voyager rack of yours?
Love it, it's a great design. I often hang a couple hammocks off it and hang out with the girlfriend. It's solid, and because there's a bar that sticks out along the side it protects me from trees that are leaning over.
But back on the air situation. If you are dead set on keeping it than you should have a back up plan in the case that the bag is punctured or ruptures in a remote area, or you can be stranded.

I carry a spare. Realistically I'm going to start carrying two. And the stuff I need to change them.
That's good to hear. I'm getting one of those soon. Lots of people have given that company a bad rap, but most people I talk to that have them love them.

I think they will expand further when you get them on but you better ask some of the more experienced. I have replaced only one air bag spring and seems to me at the time i did not think it would fit, but it did. Kind of a PITA.
