Default Spring time maintence

So after work today I was changing the fluid in both diffs and the t-case.
I started with the rear diff, drained it, started to refill it and BAM!! my pump broke and sprayed gear lube all over me and the driveway.
What a mess!!
It would have made a great hair gel if I had hair.
Good thing I bought extra gear lube.

Sounds like a good time. Nothing more fun than trying to get the smell of gear lube out of your clothes.

I'm going to wait to do the bulk of my spring maintenance until spring decides to stick around here. Yesterday it was in the 60s and today we had snow.

Mike-I grease my u-joints every oil change, which is every 5,000 miles.
And they are brand new, Andy and I just put them in a month ago, replaced all four.

I intend to start my spring maintenance this week-end. I'll do my seafoam cleaning, change coolant, change tranny fluid, grease every u-joints and swivels, change all my tie-rod ends (I'm trying to fix the infamous wobble of death I got), and fix a couple of other things such as burnt light bulbs.

When I laid under my truck to check all the stuff I have to do I realized my Disco was butchered by the PO. I used to have the brush guard with driving lights and a CD changer. That sucks.... now I have to buy all of this stuff back... I also saw that my engine bay was awfully dirty. Since DI are not water friendly, is there a way I can clean the engine bay without messing with my ECM?

Just stay away from the coil pack and ECU with high pressure. Everything else is fine in there.

where do I get a pump? hopefully one that doesn't break on me. I have been wanting to change the oil in the transfer case and I cannot get the oil in there with the bottle.

I bought my pump at Pepboys back where all the grease guns are. It's designed for greasing outboard motors so has the fitting on the end of the hose for that but it can easily be removed for other stuff. That was the only one I found that was designed for 1 quart gear lube bottles.

My next project is the fuel filter. Just as soon as I sell some more stuff, or maybe plasma. Does giving plasma hurt?
