Default Starter Help!?!?! Please

Hello guys I need some help. I have a 96 discovery 106k and I have devloped an issue. I few months ago I was having different starting issues and with everyones help It was fixed (fuel pump and filter). Durring that time I had to crank the engine for several seconds to get her to turn over (maby 20 sec.) each time. Now a new problem. When I turn the key to start it takes the engine a few slow I mean slow turns to get up to turn over speed. Almost like a really low battery. sometimes it will even pause for a qiuck second then finailly wind up and turn over. Its progressivly getting worse. I have had the battery tested 1 year old it tested fine. Altenator tested fine even starter tested ok. I've been told by the guy at napa that my starter could test fine but still have dead spots? I'm in need of help because I start a new job monday morning and I don't want it to shoot craps then because you know thats what will happen! Thanks-Alex

Starters can teat just fine on the bench. They don't have a load on them. I think you are headed in the right direction...

Crank sensor would be if it wouldn't start, not for a slow turning starter. Those 20 second starts burned up your starter.

Could be the starter's toasted. It sounds like you worked your battery pretty good with the fuel issue too. Did you put it on a charger (low amp, trickle)to get it fully recharged again? How did you test the battery? Did you do a load test on it?
