Stupid LR Trailer Harness!

Stupid LR Trailer Harness!
Just bought myself a new boat after paying off my disco2. Prior to making the 300+ mile trip (only a couple Regal boat dealers in Texas), I went through great pains to make sure I was all set to pick up my shiney new boat: new brake rotors and pads, changed transmission fluid , and installed a new LR wiring harness with 7 round trailer hookup. I get there and the friggin 7 round is incompatible with all known 7 round to 5 flat adapters. Had to pull out the taillight at the boat dealer and use their 5 flat harness and bypass the OEM one that I just spent $250 for.
Now, every so often this blows the 15A fuse for the antilock brakes and I cannot shift out of park without replacing the fuse. I had the same issue with the U-Haul 4 flat harness that was in there before. Also, the available 7 round to 5 flat adapters I have seen at the trailer shops are meant for "American" 7 rounds and not the british ones (the british has round prongs and the american one has flat going around with a round in the center).
Now I NEED to be able to hook up a 5 flat because the boat trailer has brakes, and the reverse disables the brakes so I can back up. I dont want to continually have to replace fuses or get out of my car to manually disable the brakes on the trailer. I looked through the prior posts on this issue and this doesnt seem to get addressed. Also checked the tech section on discoweb.
Does anyone know of a 7 round british to 5 flat adapter to go with the OEM wiring harness? I would be EXTREMELY grateful as I want to enjoy my new toy without all these headaches. Thanks in advance, ya'll have been great in helping me out with the other issues over the past few weeks and I appreciate it.

RE: Stupid LR Trailer Harness!
The boat dealer is really experienced at this and they said they wont touch the LRs. I checked with U-haul and they said this is why they dont work on them. I might call around tomorrow (thanks for the suggestion) but I am under the impression I will get more of the same.

RE: Stupid LR Trailer Harness!
This is what I bought http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/9439C.cfm . I then tapped the back up light in the rear tail light and added the fifth wire for the trailer brakes. I found a 5 plug harness at a local auto parts store and spliced it in.

I used this writeup, and added a 5 pin connector, which i tapped into the pass. side reverse light.Cost me a total of like $15. I've towed my boat many times, and have had no problems.
