Default Super lock out

I have a 2003 disco 2. The battery went dead and the drivers key lock has no resistance 90°. I called a friend in the service department at the dealership he said it’s in super lockout mode. He said it would cost about $2000 to fix obviously I’m not going that route I just need some help getting this thing back running normally.
i’m thinking if I can get into the car get the battery charged put back in and use the key Fob I should be fine.
your thoughts or advice. I’m at my wits end with this thing.

For what it's worth, after you get into the truck, Superlock (and the factory alarm) can be turned off with a Nanocom, which you can rent here in the stickies.

The symptoms you report don't sound like Superlock.

You can crawl under the truck and connect a jumper cable or battery charger to the large terminal of the starter and the frame to put juice in system that should allow you to use the keyless entry handset to unlock the truck.

After that, it sounds like you have a different problem to diagnose with the door lock cylinder.

Your door lock cylinder issue is a broken lock rod, very common. Replacement available at Carrs4x4. If you don't feel like doing the jumper cable to the starter a locksmith can open the door for you, then you can pop the hood, charge the battery, and change the door lock rod.

The negative/ground cable can be attached anywhere on the engine or the frame, or on the body. It does not matter, especially since all you are trying to do is get power to unlock the truck. That is a very low amperage load.

Yes, that is it. Put the negative on the frame or engine block. Anywhere convenient.

Default Thank you

Thank you so much. The crawling under the car and putting power to the starter post trick worked!! Now on fixing a leaking radiator.

The dealership wanted charge me $2000 to drill the cylinder locks out what a joke. I took yawls advice crawled underneath the car put power to the starter got it unlocked and then went on YouTube and looked at the carrs4 x 4 YouTube video of repairing the lock and have a new door lock pin on the way for $31. I don’t know what I would do without you guys.
