Default Suspension

Whenever I go over road bumps, I don't feel very stable. The truck doesn't feel very shaking, but it isn't tight either.
The steering wheel does shake a bit though.

Typically, when do people replace the steering stabilizer, the shocks and the springs?

I've got SLS, and I DO NOT want a lift. I don't want to hassle with getting spacers or messing with the SLS.

What springs/shocks and stabilizer would you all recommend?

Thanks so much!!!

To get new coils, shocks and a stabilizer is going to give you some lift, about 1" over where the truck stood when new.
How many miles do you have on it now?

ooh ok! So I won't have to mess with the SLS?

I've got close to 60,000 miles on it.

Yes, you may need to throw a spacer under the air bags to balance out the front and rear height.

Why not just replace the factory shocks and springs, it WILL drive like a new car once its done. I recently added new "genuine winch springs" tothe frontof mine to compensate for the winch etc, and itreally drives so much better. I suppose the old springs were a little "worn out" after 80k.

oh perfect! That's what I was hoping to do, is just replace it with the stock equipment.

An independent shop would be able to do that though, right?

Yes offcourse, any garage / workshop should be able to do that, its not hard at all....

If you have the tools / axle stands and spring compressors, you could do it yourself in no time at all, depends if you normally do your own stuff. The only "important" thing is to ensure the springs are fitted correctly in their lower seat.

JR,
You have always had a hard time dealing with your truck. If you don't like the ride, go to OME and a SLS spacer, if you use factory coils or shock it will fail again in another 45,000 miles cause Rover builds crap for shocks and springs.

Thanks so much for all the advice.

I definitely do agree with you Urban, but I trust Disco Mike with my trucks life! hah, so.. I guess I'll just invest in the OME plus SLS spacers.

Since I'm gunna go with OME, and because I don't have a winch, nothing special added on to my truck, and I definitely don't plan on doing that, what shocks and springs would be best?

Thanks so so so much for the constant support and advice.. :]
