Default T-case

Dear friends please can you tell me If I buy a 1998 or 1999 T-case with CDL
can I install it in my 2002 dicso without making any changes on T-case? The 2002 disco without CDL and with three amigos can be compared with a cart.
And something else, from your experiences between products OME (Old Man Emu) and Terrafirma which do you think are the best? I am talking for spring and shock.

You have 2 options, buy a 98 or 99 D2 case and shift linkage or just buy the CDL nose assembly for around $100 plus the linkage then add it to your current case.

I thought someone posted recently that some of the older D1, RRC, Defender, etc LT230 transfer cases don't have the provision for the hi-lo switch that the D2 needs for some functions such as HDC.

They do have a High /Low, just needs to be bent or replace with a D2 High/Low.
As for the lift, I am a big believer in the OME lifts, been around for 20 plus years out of Aus. and are well proven.

Then if Paul does not have a Cdl lever I could come up with a 04 set-up in the near future! Let me know?

I have no experience with Terrafirma products, but I can say that OME makes a fantastic product. It's all pretty durable stuff and is built to last. I can say that after installing HD OME springs and shocks on my DII, it's greatly improved the whole driving experience. The only thing to remember is that OME Nitrocharger shocks are factory length, so if you're sticking with them and want longer suspension travel (like I do), then you'll have to get or make a kit to move the shock mounts front and rear. Terrafrima makes lowered shock towers for the front and lowered mounts for the rear. RTE does too. Or, if you prefer, you can go with Terrafirma long-travel shocks. I think Rancho may make a long travel version as well.
