Default Tap and go

Ok, we need to conduct a experiment here guys, all of you DII owners try this in the morning after your truck has sat all night.
Tap the key and drop your truck into reverse and try and drive.
SO as soon as the engine starts and you release the key thats when you drop it into reverse.
Report back what happens and how many miles are on your truck please.

I can count me out of this experiment, as I already have my results.

Normally I would not do that... most older transmissions like to build up a little pressure first, but I figured what the heck, as long as I don't do it everyday.

I just tried it, and my Disco has been sitting since last Tuesday. I noticed nothing unusual. I just started going backwards.

It's a 2003 with 134-ish.

If I understand this right, turn the key and as soon as it fires up throw it in reverse? Ok, I did this morning and it had a small pause and then engaged. Nothing unusual, didn't seem any different than any other morning. Sometimes I don't pull my shifter back enough and it doesn't go into gear, but that is totally a me thing. Up at 5am with no coffee yet :-(

I'm calling that confirmation of another D2 that does it, the small pause is what we are looking for.
