Teach a Man to Fish

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone here at the forum.
I'm an owner of a 2003 Disco living in Germany. I've had the Disco for about a year and didn't have any problems. Recently had brake problems, the throttle body gasket go bad, leaking head gaskets, 60k maintenance needed to be done, windshield wipers weren't doing the job etc.
There wasn't one time I couldn't go to the search function or look at the "how to" section and not find what I was looking for. You know the old saying about teaching a man to fish well.....I'll won't have to go hungry any more.
Special thanks to Disco Mike for being patient with my brake issue questions...thanks.
I was told by many people that I would regret owning a Land Rover and how much of a pain in the **** they would be. After doing all the maintenance on the Landy in the past months I now know that the only regret I would have had was "not buying one". Thanks again everyone.

I "second" what Raul507 said...
Without the contributing members of this forum, I'd probably still be up to my ears in frustration, desperation, and skinned knuckles.
You guys empowered me and gave me the confidence to use my brain, my tools, my available resources, and my own hands to successfully replace my D2's head gaskets and to completely rebuild my cylinder heads. Prior to this the most complicated automotive job I'd ever done was to replace the brake pads on my Dad's 85 Ford Tempo almost 20 years ago.
I'll always be grateful to this site and its members for helping me to be an intelligent and empowered Land Rover owner.
Cheers,
Thomas
