I had to drill some whole and modify the mounts that came with it to get it to follow the roof rails and not sink down in, You'll see from the picture that the supplied mounts are meant to attached to roof rails that go side to side. You just look at my pictures and you'll see how I made it work.
I originally went with this rack because I needed to fit under 7" to access a parking garage. Now longer a requirement so I went with the lift kit which puts me about 7'2"

I looked at the Warden tires. After a lot of research, I found that when the company moved or changed hands or whatever happened they got rid of a lot of their senior staff and quality took a plunge. I plan on getting the 265/75r16 10-ply Mud Claw Radial M/Ts. My local tire shop has them for $174 each including mount and balance, and the owner runs them on a couple of his own vehicles.
As you can see from the new tires, the sidewalls say Treadwright and they looks superior in quality compared the old ones still mounted. At $129 a piece for all five, I ordered late in the day on May 1st and they were delivered today May 6th, for only $56 in shipping. Needless to say I'm pretty happy so far. Now let me get them mounted and balanced and see how they perform, if you watched the video I posted in this thread I'll be going back to that long stretch of water and trying it again with these tires!!!

I got my guard dogs from tread wright about a year ago. So far they have been great, they still look like they are brand new after putting 10,000 miles on them. I had used them in the past on a different truck and had a great experience. Getting the new ones though I can say without a doubt that the new tires coming out are better quality then the old ones. I will also go on record that when I did have a problem in the past, they sent me two new tires for one that went bad.

Is that an optical delusion or does the new tire look quite a lot larger than the old one when the only difference is the width??
Is it correct that the old is a 245/75/16 and the new is 265/75/16?
What makes the new one look so much taller i guess is my question...
Looks great though, i'm about to pull the trigger on tires but my Michelins still got tread at 90k!!
