Default Terrafirma Steering Damper

I just ordered the terrafirma steering damper to complete my lift kit. I was just wondering what kind of improvements I should expect over the stock steering stabilizer?

Have any of you used this one or do you have the OME?

Thanks as always

i have the terrafirma damper. it helped a bit as my truck still had the stock damper on it. you should get some quick disconnects or make your own for your front sway bars. they really restrict the travel in the shocks you put in there. i have the HD kit.

What does a set of quick disconnects have to do with a steering dampener?
I am still not suggesting the Terra Firms stablizer till more people get some wear on them, OME is still my choice.

I upgraded to the TF stabilizer as well from the stocker, not a huge noticeable difference, but steering feels a little tighter coming back to center.

I went with an OME lift, but couldn't justify the $90 OME vs. the $60 TF.

It sure is pretty!

You get what you pay for in this world, especially when looking at Rover parts.

I was addressing the fact that he has the same lift as me and the sway bars are under pressure with that extra 2.25". Quick disconnects can help him get some travel off road out of that setup.

I have had my TF stabilizer on for 15,000 miles. I can't compare it to the OME but it's a major upgrade from stock.

They drink the Terrafirma Kool-Aid like water over the pond where Rovers are as common as Jeeps, I'm not sure what you're trying to insinuate? Obviously it doesn't have the long and storied reputation that OME does, but setting a lower price point to break into the US market is part of expanding and so far I have seen nothing but good reviews.

I am saying, stay with the tried and proven until the new products are proven to be worth while.
As for the number of Rovers in the UK, less then 5% ever get off the road. In Austrialia were the OME were designed and modified over the last 25 plus years, their product holds up to the out back, something the good folks across the pond are not able to try.

I expect it's a tiny minority of people who have compared a new OEM to a new anything else. That would be the only way to see. Two new ones and go out and hit some rocks with just one wheel.

Fair enough, more than anything I was just curious if you've seen or heard some bad reviews from fellow Roverers. ^This^ is the reason I went with the OME suspension, tried and true
