I've lived with a bad driver's side regulator for about a year so I finally ordered one from AB parts. So, I have the door panel off and secured the glass after unbolting it from the reg. and removed the part. I layed it out on my work table to transfer the motor over and funny thing... it looks a little different, like the gear goes in the opposite direction. Then I checked my shipping invoice and see that I ordered the passenger side one!
It really helps if you order the right part for the job!
So I just reordered the correct one with slightly expressed shipping. I figure I am already out on the shipping for the first one and I'd have to pay to ship it back so I am thinking about just going ahead and doing the right side as well. The new design with sliding plastic blocks instead of the little plastic wheels on the old one seems better. And after all, now that I have done one the other should be a cinch right!

Which one did you order. I need to do the same on mine and I wanna make sure I get the newer style. Also how hard was it to remove the old one??? I have done this on my BMW a few times, which I am still SHOCKED that I have to do more then once!!!! So I think I can handle it. Are there any "tricks" that I may want to know. I have a 03 DII by the way!!
